Shaye Maxey was born in California and raised in the Bay Area. She is a recent graduate from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco with her BFA in Painting and Drawing. Shaye's most recent works focus on capturing the characteristic realism of the people close to her, while also exploring their emotional states of being.
The standout connection between her pieces is the use of movement. She shows the influence of the environment on her subjects by having them intertwine and flow through each other.
Shaye is inspired by the human connection through her experience of being an empath. She aims to capture and communicate the varied and fluctuating emotional states of being.
